Chineasy is colorful and cute, a bit like Mr. Roger's neighborhood. Warm, affectionate characters and noises encourage you along your journey.
I do appreciate Chineasy's large, clear characters, with explanations of the logic behind their meanings.
But multiple choice exercises like this do little to lock information into your memory. (You need to be forced to recall from scratch.)
And this exercise was way too advanced for me. It should not have been integrated into the learning content of a beginner like myself.
Chineasy also contains no true SRS flashcard system, and doesn't get you speaking aloud from memory much. Both of these are crucial flaws.
At $4.99/month ($39.99/year), Chineasy is quite affordable. But it is so nearly useless for actual learning that I don't recommend it.
